Vice President of Marketing, Christian Kuhn is responsible for the strategic development of Homewood Suites and Home2 Suites by Hilton global brand positioning and leading overall marketing initiatives to drive revenue, improve market share, build brand loyalty, and support development growth. Additionally, Kuhn oversees marketing and public relations teams for both brands, and directs the development of long-range growth strategy for the brands through strategic plans.
Prior to his appointment as Vice President, Kuhn held the role of Director of Brand Marketing for Embassy Suites, where he directed strategy and implementation for both brand and promotional marketing.
During his three year tenure at Embassy Suites, Kuhn, created and launched over 12 unique promotional sweepstakes, each setting new ROI records, as well as two new, industry awarded, brand campaign launches. He also guided the brand to build its first econometric model to better understand ROI across media channels. This model helped to drive the decision making for the brand to return to the television medium which ultimately helped launch the creation of the award winning television marketing campaign featuring the “Mr. More” character.
Kuhn helped Embassy Suites achieve several significant milestones, including winning back the award for “Highest Guest Satisfaction Among Upper Upscale Hotel Chains” by J.D. Power and Associates in 2011. During his leadership at Embassy Suites, the marketing team was also awarded the Travel Weekly Gold Magellan for TV Campaigns, two Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association (HSMAI) Adrian Awards - Silver for Sweepstakes and Bronze for Complete Advertising, The Premier Print Award as well as a Platinum Hermes Creative award.
Kuhn has over 20 years of marketing experience, with over 12 years at both America Online (AOL) and American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), both large scale consumer/membership facing organizations where he leveraged his marketing expertise in addition to his database marketing and segmentation background to create best in class marketing concepts and promotions.
